The seminar was held in the meeting rooms of the Serbian Association for Towns and Municipalities (SKGO) in Belgrade. The first day was dedicated the framework of the MIC-programme, criteria, requirements, cross-cutting issues that has to be considered, as well as the general principles of MIC. Tuesday was set aside for the partnerships to introduce their projects for KS and the other partnerships. A representative from the Norwegian Embassy in Serbia – Ms. Siri Anderssen – was also present.

In the next three years the following partnerships have received funding for their projects:
· Hemnes and Prokuplje (MIC)
· Hattfjelldal and Vrnjacka Banja(MIC)
· Vefsn and Gornji Milanovac (MIC)
· Buskerud County and Obrenovac (people-to-people)
· Saltdal and Nis (people-to-people)
The first three partnerships listed above will cooperate on developing and implementing models for voluntary centers, youth parliaments and cultural schools, based on Norwegian experience. These are clear-cut MIC projects, working within the mandates of the municipalities – for more information on this see link below to MIC West Balkans website.
The two next partnerships listed above are working within the framework of People-to-people participation. You will also be able to find more information about these guidelines under the links below (for MIC Western Balkans).
Buskerud County and Obrenovac are cooperating on two projects, together with Røyken Upper Secondary School, Buskerud will be cooperating with Obrenovac on improving educational standards based on a democratic and loyal cooperation between management, teachers and students. The second project’s purpose is to strengthen the competence, management and methods related to performing arts and so forth – this project is called PASCO: Performing Art Scene in Obrenovac. Within both these projects the partners will work on developing an application for possible EU- programmes.
Nis and Saltdal’s partnership is centered on Human Rights Education in schools.
